The flagship Echo Show 16 headlines the collection, featuring an expansive display integrated with Fire TV capabilities and an eight-woofer audio system. Alongside the display, Panos Panay introduced the Alexa Photo Frame, a device designed to function as both a high-resolution digital canvas and a fully capable Alexa speaker. The event also highlighted the Echo Time smart alarm clock and a revamped Echo Dot, signaling a design shift across the company’s entry-level and premium offerings.
Amazon expands hardware lineup with Echo Show 16 and smart frames
Amazon’s October 2026 hardware event centered on a reimagined range of screen-based devices and specialized smart home audio. Following the nationwide rollout of Alexa Plus earlier this year, the company is now pushing deeper into domestic displays, ranging from high-fidelity smart frames to multifunctional wall-mounted entertainment hubs.

Beyond traditional screens, Amazon unveiled the screenless Echo Studio with Home Camera, aiming to consolidate home monitoring and audio performance. These additions reflect a broader strategy to saturate the home environment with devices that oscillate between ambient utility and active media consumption, further embedding the Alexa ecosystem into daily routines.
