Moog Launches Dedicated Amplifiers for Electronic Instruments

While the market is saturated with guitar-specific amplification, musicians working with synthesizers have long struggled to find gear that preserves the integrity of their signal. Moog is now addressing this gap, releasing two new cabinets engineered specifically to handle the complex, wide-frequency output of modern electronic music hardware.

The Model 210, priced at $999, and the Model 112, retailing for $799, function as full-range, flat-response systems. Unlike traditional guitar amplifiers that color the sound with tube distortion or mid-range emphasis, these cabinets prioritize a neutral, transparent delivery. This makes them suitable for the broad sonic spectrum required by synthesizers, drum machines, and digital keyboards.

Although the cabinets eschew vacuum tubes in favor of modern components, Moog maintained a fully analog signal path to preserve the character of incoming signals. These units represent a practical solution for producers and live performers who need a reliable, high-fidelity monitoring solution that does not mask the nuances of their patch design.
