Users misidentified by the algorithm or those the system fails to categorize must navigate to account settings to provide manual verification. This transition marks a departure from the company’s previous reliance on video selfies and government-issued IDs, which were abandoned in February after security failures at a third-party vendor. The new policy applies globally, with the notable exception of Australia and the United Kingdom, where regulatory requirements necessitate distinct compliance procedures.
