The X300 Pro centers its appeal on a new 200-megapixel HPB imaging sensor developed alongside Samsung. This sensor powers an 85mm-equivalent telephoto lens that mirrors the capabilities of the X200 Ultra, including support for the specialized telephoto extender introduced earlier this year. While the f/2.67 aperture is marginally slower than its predecessor, the main camera marks a significant advancement. It utilizes the Sony LYT-828 sensor, which offers a faster aperture than the hardware found in the previous Ultra model.
Vivo X300 Series Blurs the Line Between Standard and Ultra Flagships
With the debut of the X300 and X300 Pro, Vivo is aggressively narrowing the gap between its standard flagship lineup and its premium Ultra tier. By integrating high-end imaging hardware previously reserved for its most expensive handsets, the company positions its latest devices as professional-grade tools for mobile photography enthusiasts.
Despite these gains, the ultrawide camera remains the primary differentiator, featuring a smaller sensor that lacks the low-light performance of the top-tier models. However, the inclusion of 4K, 120fps, 10-bit Log video recording across all three rear lenses reinforces the Pro's high-end status. The base X300 model also remains competitive, housing the same 200-megapixel Samsung sensor in its primary shooter with a swift f/1.68 aperture. By cascading these imaging technologies down to the X300 series, Vivo is effectively challenging the market perception that superior camera performance must be locked behind an Ultra-branded price tag.
