The device operates on a simple, if unwelcome, premise. As players pass the plastic turkey around, the game emits a series of noises. When the sound abruptly cuts off, the person caught holding the console is assigned a random Thanksgiving task, ranging from kitchen assistance to post-meal cleanup. Beyond its function as a festive chore-assigner, the unit doubles as a kitchen timer for the remainder of the year. Interested users can attempt to win one through the official Butterball website.
