The device boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2000 nits, discarding the traditional display notch in favor of a modern hole-punch camera cutout. Weighing in at three pounds, the machine also revives the iconic glowing Apple logo on the lid, a design detail teased earlier by CEO John Ternus. This release represents one of the first major hardware shifts under Ternus, who transitioned from leading hardware engineering to the company's top executive role.
Apple debuts first touchscreen MacBook Pro starting at $2,899
After years of industry speculation, Apple has finally integrated touch functionality into its high-end laptop lineup. The new MacBook Pro, unveiled Wednesday at the company’s “Pro and tell” event, features a ProLED XDR tandem OLED display, marking a significant departure from the company’s long-standing refusal to adopt touch-based screens.

Pre-orders for the new hardware begin today, with retail availability slated for November 6th. The 14-inch model starts at $2,899, while the 16-inch version commands a $3,399 price tag. This launch arrives alongside a broader refresh of the Apple ecosystem, including the introduction of an M6-powered iMac, an OLED iPad Mini, and a separate entry-level MacBook Pro model.
