Developers are adapting their interfaces to accommodate the unique folding form factor. Netflix, for instance, fills the entire inner display for cinematic playback while reserving the outer screen for short-form clips. Prime Video enables a split-screen mode when the device is partially folded, positioning video content on the top half and cast information below. Productivity tools are also seeing significant integration; Microsoft Word and Outlook aim to deliver desktop-class functionality by placing formatting tools and inbox navigation adjacent to primary content.
Apple Introduces 'Made for iPhone Duo' App Store Label
Apple is introducing a designated badge for its App Store to identify applications optimized for the new iPhone Duo foldable. The “Made for iPhone Duo” label highlights software specifically engineered to utilize the device's dual-screen architecture, offering users a clearer guide to which experiences take full advantage of the expanded display space.

Additional apps receiving optimization include Paramount Plus, NYT Cooking, Yelp, Lyft, and United Airlines. Zoom has also updated its interface to display video conferences alongside shared content. Despite these updates, early testing by The Verge’s Nilay Patel suggests that some applications still struggle with software bugs. Apple plans to launch dedicated editorial collections for the iPhone Duo this Friday, with further app refinements expected to roll out consistently throughout the year.
