Wyze Updates BodyScan Scale with Eye-Level Display

By relocating the 4.3-inch color screen from the floor to a retractable handle, Wyze is addressing the awkward posture required to read body composition stats. The new Ultra BodyScan Plus puts metrics directly in the user’s line of sight, marking a design shift for the company’s high-end health hardware.

Available starting today for $149, the device arrives in black or white finishes. This $30 price increase over the previous model covers more than just the display shift; the updated hardware expands tracking capabilities from 13 to over 50 distinct metrics. Users can now monitor granular data points such as visceral fat, protein levels, and basal metabolic rate, all analyzed via bioelectrical impedance technology.

The handle remains detachable, allowing the unit to function as a standard scale when the extra sensors are not required. While competitors like Withings have recently introduced subscription barriers for syncing health data to third-party apps, Wyze maintains that all features on the Ultra BodyScan Plus remain accessible without recurring monthly or annual fees.
