Silicon Valley Adopts Trump’s 'Super Intelligence' Rebranding

Donald Trump’s demand to replace the term “artificial intelligence” with “super intelligence” has moved from a fringe executive directive to a corporate reality. Despite widespread public skepticism, the industry’s most influential leaders are rapidly pivoting their vocabulary to align with the White House’s new, non-negotiable branding requirements.

Silicon Valley Adopts Trump’s 'Super Intelligence' Rebranding

Elon Musk led the shift, rebranding SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI almost immediately after the president declared users of the old terminology to be the enemy. Marc Benioff followed suit, rebranding Salesforce’s AIForce to SIForce. While these changes might appear performative, the motivations among major hardware and software titans suggest a deeper calculation regarding political survival.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who attended the summit where the executive order was first announced, has integrated the terminology into his company’s $1 billion scientific research commitment. Huang, facing significant exposure if he falls out of favor with the administration, has also publicly downplayed concerns regarding the dangers of the technology. Microsoft’s Satya Nadella joined this trend yesterday, repeatedly using the term “super intelligence” while proposing an “emergency brake” mechanism for the technology.

This trend marks a stark reversal from the contentious relationship Silicon Valley held with the Trump administration during his first term. Industry leaders including Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, Jeff Bezos, and Dario Amodei are now prioritizing diplomatic ingratiation over linguistic consistency to secure their standing in a volatile political landscape.
