To access the tool, shoppers select the "try it on" button appearing alongside various apparel in search results. The underlying AI model interprets complex physical nuances, calculating how specific fabrics stretch, drape, and fold across different body types. Once the system processes the image, users have the option to save or share the resulting preview.
Google integrates personal try-on AI into Search
Shoppers can now visualize how garments fit their own bodies through a new AI-powered virtual try-on tool. Rolling out within Search Labs for US users today, the feature moves beyond generic model displays by generating tailored images based on a personal full-length photograph provided by the user.

Beyond apparel, Google is expanding its Gemini-powered search experience to simplify product discovery. When searching for items like travel gear, the AI constructs a personalized panel of relevant listings. By inputting specific constraints—such as a destination's weather or upcoming travel dates—the system executes multiple simultaneous searches to filter for functional requirements, including waterproof materials or specific storage capacity. A forthcoming "Buy for me" feature will eventually allow the assistant to finalize transactions directly.
