The Ruiying Z10 distinguishes itself from standard teleconverters by functioning as a standalone camera module that relies on the host phone solely for processing power and interface. Featuring a variable aperture of f/2.0-f/4.5, the lens provides a significant sensor upgrade over the phone's native hardware. Despite its substantial 346g weight and bulky form factor, it offers a portable alternative to mirrorless setups, potentially bypassing venue restrictions that typically prohibit traditional camera gear.
Huawei’s Ruiying Z10 turns the Mate 90 Pro Max into a dedicated camera
By integrating a 1-inch 50-megapixel sensor directly into an external lens housing, Huawei has bypassed the physical constraints of smartphone optics. The new Ruiying Z10 attachment transforms the Mate 90 Pro Max from a high-end mobile device into a formidable imaging tool with a true 24-240mm optical zoom range.

Compatibility is currently restricted to the collector’s edition of the Mate 90 Pro Max and the Mate 90 RS, both of which feature the specialized screw-mount required to secure the lens. These handsets are already high-spec performers, boasting a 1.1.28-inch-type main sensor, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto, and a 6.9-inch OLED display capable of 12,000 nits. Driven by the Kirin 9050 Pro chip and a 6,800mAh battery, the hardware provides the necessary throughput to handle the data-heavy output from the Z10’s oversized sensor.
