The Mod differentiates itself through a lens-mounted dial that toggles between specialized analog shooting techniques. Users can experiment with Double Exposure, which layers two consecutive shots into a single frame, or utilize the Split Shot mode. The latter employs a rotating accessory to physically block half the lens, allowing photographers to divide their images into distinct halves.

For more advanced lighting techniques, the camera includes Light Painting and Motion Freeze. Light Painting relies on long exposures to capture streaks from bright sources, requiring a stable tripod to maintain clarity. Meanwhile, Motion Freeze functions as a rear-curtain flash, combining a slower shutter speed to record motion trails with a sharp, flash-illuminated subject at the end of the exposure. These features join a standard brightness dial located on the front of the unit, providing a new level of manual control for instant film enthusiasts.
