The HomePod Mini 2 retains the compact silhouette of its 2020 predecessor but shifts its color palette. Leaked imagery suggests a move toward more subdued tones, including updated iterations of green, pink, blue, white, and black designed for domestic integration.
Apple Prepares Year-End Hardware Refresh
Following the recent launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo, Apple is readying a second wave of hardware for the year. Code discovered by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris confirms the impending arrival of an updated HomePod mini, a redesigned iPad mini 8, and a new Apple TV 4K.

Performance gains define the upcoming iPad mini 8, which trades the seventh-generation model’s A17 Pro chip for the A20 Pro architecture found in current flagship iPhones. Beyond the internal silicon, the tablet features a repositioned landscape-oriented camera and an additional top-edge speaker. Industry reports from Mark Gurman suggest this hardware will likely adopt an OLED display and utilize vibration-based speaker technology to improve water resistance. Meanwhile, the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K maintains the familiar aesthetic of previous iterations, though technical specifications for the streaming device remain scarce.
