Velaura AI Hits Unicorn Status With $110 Million Funding Round
Velaura AI has secured $110 million in Series A funding, pushing the chip design startup’s valuation past the $1 billion mark. Backed by Seligman Ventures and Capricorn Investment Group, the firm intends to deploy the capital to scale its low-power architecture aimed at slashing data center energy costs.

To monetize its technology, the startup employs a licensing model that pairs upfront fees with royalties derived from the power savings achieved by clients. This structure mirrors the approach historically used by Arm. Beyond product deployment, the fresh capital will support an aggressive hiring push, specifically targeting engineering talent and customer-facing teams to sustain the startup's growth in the competitive data center market.
