Marvel Unveils X-Men Cast for 2028 Cinematic Debut
At the D23 event in Anaheim, Marvel Studios confirmed the ensemble for its untitled X-Men film, marking the team’s full-scale integration into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The project, currently slated for a May 5, 2028 release, follows the recent introduction of mutant lore established in the latest Spider-Man installment.
The production pits this new generation of mutants against Nathaniel Milbury, better known as the villainous Mister Sinister, played by Adam Driver. While the studio has circled the inclusion of the X-Men for years, the narrative path to their arrival only solidified after the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Given the four-year lead time until the projected premiere, industry observers anticipate potential adjustments to the current release schedule.
